Enforcement Order

An enforcement order is a court document that allows a creditor to enforce their claims without having to file a lawsuit first. For example, if someone fails to pay a bill, the creditor can apply for an enforcement order to collect the money.

For residents of Germany or Austria, it’s important to know that one can file an objection against an enforcement order within two weeks (§ 794 ZPO). Common mistakes include failing to file the objection in time, which can lead to further legal consequences.
