Reclamation
A reclamation is a formal complaint you make when a product or service does not meet your expectations. For example, if you bought a defective device, you can file a reclamation with the retailer to request a refund or exchange.
For residents in Germany or Austria, it is important to submit reclamations in a timely manner, as there are often deadlines within which you must assert your claims. Under § 437 BGB, you have the right to subsequent performance, withdrawal, or reduction if a defect exists. Common mistakes include missing deadlines or not following the correct procedure for reclamation.
