Care Level

The care level is a classification that indicates how much support a person in need of care requires. There are five care levels, ranging from 1 (low need) to 5 (high need). For example, someone with care level 2 may need help with dressing and personal hygiene.

For residents in Germany, the care level is important because it determines the amount of financial support from long-term care insurance.
