Educational Leave

Educational leave allows employees to take time off work to attend recognized educational programs. For instance, a week-long workshop on professional development qualifies as educational leave.

Residents in Germany and Austria should know that they are entitled to educational leave in states that recognize it. Applications usually need to be submitted at least 6 weeks before the course starts. Relevant laws are found in the respective state vacation laws.
